University of Arizona Global Campus Military Alliance Manager (Georgia/Florida) in United States

The Military Alliance Manager is a full-time remote position working under the direction of the Senior Vice President, Military & Academic Partnerships. The Military Alliance Manager will schedule, organize, and attend events at military installations to increase brand awareness and develop relationships in the military community. The Military Alliance Manager will also use these events to maintain contact with the current student population to address concerns and provide an opportunity for the students to positively interact with a university representative. The primary objective of Military Alliance Manager is to accurately represent The University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) to the military community in a professional and service-oriented manner. The position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The Military Alliance Manager must be able to increase and maintain positive awareness of the University within the military and governmental communities. This includes assuring effective processes to offer and provide programs and services to military and veteran students in accordance with Executive Order 13607 – Establishing Principles of Excellence for Educational Institutions Serving Service Members, Veterans, Spouses, and other Family Members, and aligned with the VA and DOE “8 Keys to Veterans’ Success”. Travel is required.

Candidate must be located in either Georgia or Florida.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of strategy and operation efforts for the university’s military and student veteran population that is in accordance with all policies, procedures, regulations and best practices for serving military and veteran students, including but not limited to: (1) the Department of Defense Memorandum of Understanding (DoD MoU), (2) the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Principles of Excellence, and (3) the Department of Education’s 8 Keys to Veterans Success, and (4) specific requirements of each branch of service or VA educational benefits with which the student is affiliated.

  • Systematically explore external trends that may impact the direction and goals of the University and specialized strategy efforts, with specific responsibility for those impacting military-affiliated students.

  • Execute on UAGC outreach plan and lead the execution of appropriate activities to achieve desired goals for increasing brand awareness.

  • Serve on UAGC’s Military and Veteran Student Taskforce and internal Military Advisory Council.

  • Conscientious and responsible with company resources including monthly expense allowance.

  • Work collaboratively with other departments, as needed.

  • Ensure meticulous execution of all projects and work, with data and content consistently accurate and well presented.

  • Establish strong working relationships with education counselors at military bases in a large geographic region. Attend Education Fair’s on behalf of UAGC and in accordance with regulations.

  • Develop and enhance relationships in the military higher education community.

  • Support UAGC’s military-affiliated community engagement efforts (ex. Council of College of Military Educators).

  • Facilitate expeditious resolution of military student concerns that are brought forward by an education counselor or a UAGC military student.

  • Support the University’s military communication and community engagement efforts (ex. quarterly Education Service Officer Newsletter).

  • Regularly report on progress of key tasks to UAGC leadership.

  • Stay apprised of current events within the markets while maintaining current and thorough knowledge of all internal degree programs and military related policies, plus applicable regulatory, operational, and compliance guidelines of the industry.

  • Serve as UAGC liaison at military higher education conferences, events and external boards (ex. Council for Community College Educators).

  • Support the refinement of the University’s Military Policies & Procedures Manual.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Must have a valid driver's license applicable to the State in which position is located

  • Must be willing to travel, as needed but up to 50%.

  • Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Military experience; especially as an education counselor either enlisted or civilian.

  • Experience in higher education market and industry.

  • Experience in a home office environment (remote work).

  • Master’s degree from an institutionally accredited or approved nationally accredited institution preferred.

Rate of Pay: $75,540 - $98,201
